The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) was created in 1992 to provide a process to employ the youth in public projects as an off branch of the Civilian Conservation Corps started by President Franklin D Roosevelt amongst other New Deal Plans to help decrease the unemployment in the United States. Participants of the YCC learn employment skills, work ethics, as well as self-discipline and self-esteem.
